Yep I was disappointed in this book.Why?Well I'll tell you why it wasn't long enough I could have gone on to read it for more than just one day.LOL anyone who buys this book will love it.It had me laughng out loud and the only other writer who does this to me is Katie MacAlister.Please write a sequel to it I have to know who she ends up with.

I loved this series. Maggie is a great character and I really, really hope she ends up woth Harmonica Jack.

STAND BY YOUR MAN is the second book in the Maggie Reid series. Maggie, a country singer, who attracts violent crime, murders and men like spilt Kool-Aid attracts ants. This book had me smiling from beginning to end. Although, at the end of the book I found myself HAVING to know if Maggie went with Marshall, the coffee-regular detective or Tony, the latte with the works private investigator...but I'll have to wait for the next book. I am sure it will be good, too.

Nancy Bartholomew has created a wonderful character in Maggie Reid. I loved Your Cheating Heart and was thrilled to find Stand by Your Man. The characters are realistic and the situations Maggie reid finds herself in are enjoyable and funny. The only people I can imagine not liking these books are people who don't like to have a good time.

While I enjoyed the first book in the Maggie Reid series, I found this one lacking. The storyline was too centered around all the men after Maggie rather than the reason her ex-husband Vernell was missing. It was amazing that every time she had a crisis, there was at least one or more incredibly handsome men around to comfort her.
It would have been more interesting to expand the plot of the "Redneck Mafia", given us more background on them to help build the story around Vernell's ... Read More
