This is a good small compact reference book. I do traveling coding and am always looking for reference material in a condensed format.

Scut monkey drug reference is way more useful and helpful than tarascon pocket pharm. It includes method of action, SE's, and more. Imagine that, a pocket pharm guide with side effects! Who would ever need that information?

(tarascon doesn't include side effects....or method of action.)

I think this book is a very useful buy, if you prefer a printed drug guide for the medications you are using, instead of a PDA or PC. The fact is that this book includes mechanism of action, indications and major side effects for all drugs, something that makes it more useful than its equivalent Taracson's Pocket Pharmacopoieia. If the only thing that you need from a drug guide, though, is the matching of a medication with it's generic name, then pharmacopoeia is much better, because it is smaller. This ... Read More
