Editorial Review:Each year millions of fathers are "born"—many kicking, screaming, and railing against the prospect of raising the next generation. Not to worry: Veteran author (and Super Dad!) Scott Kelby turns parenthood into a pleasant prospect by focusing on all that you get from being a dad rather than what you think you're about to give up. Even the most resistant will soon see that the scale is tipped heavily in dads' favor as Scott reveals the rewards of fatherhood. Filled with the same self-deprecating humor and no-nonsense writing style that have made Scott the number one computer book author of 2004 across all computer book categories, this book promises to transform your loved one from a fearful father into parenting's biggest fan. In direct, guy-to-guy language, Scott walks you through the process of accepting and eventually welcoming offspring. With chapters such as Making the Baby Your Own (by attending prenatal appointments, taking Lamaze classes, etc.), Dealing with Dirty Diaper Syndrome, Looking Past the Baby Stage, and more, Scott demystifies—and glorifies—every aspect of fatherhood.

Rating: - This book is not men's friend
Don't understand me wrong, I have big respect for Scott Kelby as for manager, for Adobe professional - he is really really good in it.
In one of his books (Photoshop ones) he says "thank you" words to his wife he married for 14 years and to his son.
I'm just interesting about reason why he made kid in first place? From my kind of view he just replaced himself with his son for his wife, cause he almost never home. He is manager in ADOBE, editor and witter of Photoshop magazine, ... Read More
Rating: - Time to grow up and be a man.
This is a needed book. Our society has undervalued the importance of children to the point where they are seen as practically evil or a necessary evil. Children are your legacy, and everyone, especially today's men, need to understand the importance of being a father. Your children teach you how to grow up. Without them, you will not grow up to your maximum potential.
Scott Kelby would not be read if he wasn't speaking the truth. I have led a charmed and glamorous life. I have been everywhere ... Read More
Rating: - Misleading Title >:(
When I found this book on a search on titles I was overjoyed. It would have been the PERFECT gift for more than one of my male friends aND more than one couple with whom I am friends. 'Guys' (and couples) who *don't want kids*.
I was just about to buy at least five copies, until I read what the book was REALLY about. It would have been better entitled "The book for Guys who Don't Want Kids but are Stupid Enough to Give in and Have them Anyway."
Why do I keep reading things ... Read More
Rating: - Misleading and condescending
With such a title, it should be about men who do NOT want to be fathers, why , why parenthood is a choice, not compulsory, and how men can protect themselves legally and financially against women who think it is absolutely their right to "Oops" men into fatherhood. (Note : I am a woman, and I have been disgusted through the years at the number of women I've met who openly state they want a baby "so they can stay home all day", "so he can't leave me", etc. These selfish women often excuse themselves by believing ... Rating: - An exceptionally well written, insightful and engaging introduction to the joys and satisfaction of fatherhood
The Book For Guys Who Don't Want Kids: How To Get Past The Fear Of Fatherhood by Scott Kelby is an exceptionally well written, insightful and engaging introduction to the joys and satisfaction of fatherhood. Providing readers with an invaluable observations on the nature and rewards of fatherhood, as well as the psychological conundrum faced when having no interest in children, The Book For Guys Who Don't Want Kids is very strongly recommended reading for all happily married men who are, as yet, are reluctant to assume ...
