Editorial Review: From the glittering ballrooms of Regency England to the sapphire waters of the Mediterranean, the dazzling finale of Gaelen Foley’s Spice trilogy unfurls the passionate tale of a rebel princess and the powerful warrior destined to become her champion.Princess Sophia was only a child when Napoleon conquered the island paradise ruled by her father. Raised in England and now twenty-one, she means to claim the throne that is rightfully hers and bring peace to her war-torn land. But an ambush by enemies forces Sophia into hiding outside London. Disguising herself as a peasant girl until she can safely return, she meets Major Gabriel Knight, a wounded warrior whose brush with death has utterly changed him. Heir to a great fortune, and a master swordsman, Gabriel has given up his worldly possessions and laid down his arms. Sophia is fascinated by his brooding magnetism, and Gabriel, lured by her fiery beauty and healed by her touch, is drawn back inexorably toward the world of the living. But when Sophia’s royal destiny is revealed, Gabriel knows he must take up his sword again, whatever the cost, to protect his princess from those who would destroy her. And as longing blossoms into passion, Gabriel discovers the one cause that is truly worth fighting for. . . .

Rating: - Promising start, but...
I had some problems with Sophia being a princess, but in the beginning, she was surprisingly likable - strong, determined, but not arrogant. However, this changed. She became very capricious and annoying, saying that she loves Gabriel one moment and ignoring him the next. She was often rude to him, telling him all sorts of horrible things.
When it comes to Gabriel, I have to say that I didn't like him in the previous two books of the series. He was simply boring and annoying. In this book, ... Read More
Rating: - This book is worth your every pleasure ~ good read
This is a story of one of my favorite hero-Gabriel. He is honorable, strong and sexy but tortured...until the right women - Sophia sets him free and finds his destiny with her. This is a good story and sensual read. Enjoy the adventure that Foley takes you on in this story.
Rating: - What a let down!
I have always loved this author. But this book was a major let down. I would love to see her take some time to go back to her old writing style and put out some wonderful books again. If this is your first experience with Foley, please know that her other books are much better and give them a try.
Rating: - Not one of my favorite, but sad to see the end of the Knights
I'm afraid that Gaelen Foley is being pressured by her publishers to get the books out quickly, because I've noticed the quality has gone down as the months between books has also gone down. This is a terrible shame, because she quickly became one of my favorite authors when I first read The Duke years ago. Unlike most reviewers, I really liked Lizzie and Alec's books; they were two of my favorites, actually. I never quite got into the Spice Trilogy, and this was actually my least favorite. The plot ... Rating: - Spoiled Princess ruined this story
By far this is the worst Gaelen Foley novel I have read and I have read every one of them. Usually I like her writing but have been unimpressed with the Spice trilogy.
Princess Sophia is on her way to let those British Diplomats know she is in charge of her royal little nation Kavros which is a Greek Island chain. She is twenty-one, in exile since she was three, barely remembers the island but is determined to let the British Foreign Office know she is in charge. Yes, Sophia is a bit ... Read More
