Editorial Review: Natural-born warrior Jacob Stone never ignored a lady in distress. So when a stunning brunette clad only in a cocktail dress stumbled to his doorstep, the off-duty air force sergeant went into protector mode. But could he really believe "Dee's" claims that she'd lost her memory
or was her amnesia a ruse to hide a dangerous secret? For someone had certainly set their sights on getting rid of Dee. Yet they hadn't counted on Jacob's resolve. Dee was his responsibility. Even more
she'd become integral to his next breath. And no one messed with his lady.

Rating: - Return to her best writing
I've read a lot of Catherine Mann. For me her earlier writings were much better but this story marks a return to tight stories with likeable characters who grown in the story. They are comfortable characters with problems.
I found her longer length books to lack focus and the characters to be sloppy and ill defined. They have grand backgrounds and noble goals but lacked the where with all to carry them out.
This story presents a hero with a problem, who is injured, not scarred ... Read More
Rating: - A deeper look
I have been a Catherine Mann fan for years and have always enjoyed the action and wit of her previous books. I loved the fact that this book definitely has her voice, but takes it to an even deeper level of introspection. Mann fans will love the flavor that is uniquely hers, while enjoying a darker storyline with a trip into the hearts of the protagonists.
Rating: - Another Wingman Keeper
Catherine Mann writes another thrilling Wingmen Warriors story in Out Of Uniform.
Tech Sergeant Jacob "Mako" Stone after being injured on a mission had come home to help with the family's business. His father had also passed away leaving him in charge of his teenage new mom baby sister. This was a lot on one mans plate but Jacob felt he had a good gripe on things. He wasn't planning on helping a woman in distress too. Jacob's military instincts go on high alert when "Dee's" story is not ... Read More
Rating: - Not the best
Of Catherine Mann's "Wingman Warriors" series, this may be the weakest. This book does not have the actioin that her other books have had. It centers around Jacob Stone, who is recovering from a gunshot wound suffered in an air rescue attempt of an American ambassador. He uses the recuperation time to decide what to do with a run-down motel he has inherited from his father and what to do about his younger sister. Literally dumped on his doorstep is "Dee" Lambert, an amnesiac who Jacob also decides to ... Read More
