Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - True or not, still a great read
If ever there was a true account of a parent royally screwing their child up for life this is it. The ways Sybil's obviously undiagnosed schizophrenic mother punished her or flat out amused herself using her poor young daughter as the object of "amusement" are shocking and unthinkable; the father fares no better. You can't imagine that someone actually grew up with parents like this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Book!!
This book is intense and captivating. What makes it more important is that it is true. Sybil is the first widely known case of MPD. This book is a must for psychologists and counselors everywhere.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sybil
Just a wonderful book that I read years ago. It just makes you want to grab Sybil's mother and do to her what she has done to her own daughter. The book was very intense and informative and I loved it. I recommend this to anyone that has questions about child abuse and personality disorders.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Waited and Waited
My daughter needed the book for a psych class. The public library had several holds on the book. It took weeks to get the book, and amazingly the library came through with the book faster.

I realize you have to wait longer with standard shipping, but I never had to wait so long for something that wasn't on back order.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Sybil review
The book arrived on time and in good condition.
I have read this book in the past and wanted to revisit it as I have learned more about psychology and human behavior.
