Editorial Review:Molly Clearwater had always wanted to escape the confines of her small-town upbringing to make a splash as a career woman in London. But somehow, working as a low-level assistant for the boorish Malcolm Figg wasn't nearly as fulfilling as she had hoped-until Malcolm offered her a "perk"-a free weekend business trip to Paris. She's ecstatic until she discovers that Malcolm's idea of "business" isn't exactly the same as hers. Horrified, Molly storms out of the office. With nothing else to lose, she impulsively boards a train to Paris, intent on treating herself to a long weekend in the City of Light. Within moments of stepping onto the cobblestoned streets of Paris, Molly is swept up in an adventure that defies her imagination. From infiltrating a conference in a Cleopatra wig to sharing her deepest secret with a complete stranger, Molly's weekend away from her troubles turns into a dizzying voyage of passion and self-discovery, transforming her absolutely...

What a poorly written book with a foolish, annoying main character. I found that the author made many of the characters appear one way only to have them change and then go back and forth. This book made no sense and was a complete waste of time to read. In fact, I did not even finish it.

I call these types of books "Bubblegum for the Brain." This one, in particular, is not a great book - but it is good for the genre. I read it before bed in two nights, but the last couple chapters were hard to get through.
The book is quite predictable. It is a little too much so, with regards to the mysterious texts she gets from "a friend" and whatnot.
I will say that I feel like the author had formal training writing. The reason? Well, when you learn to write, ... Read More

This book won't be added to any recommended college reading lists any time soon...and that's ok. What made me dismiss any of the flaws it has is the nuggets of delicious descriptions Sisman includes in her story...."thumbprints of clouds smudged in a shimmering opal sky", "skin like warm suede..." It's difficult to describe the world around us in fresh and new ways, and Sisman does this well. The characters and settings jump off the page and delight....I'm laughing, crying, zooming through Molly's ... Read More

The main character in this novel is just like Catherine Moreland, only I don't think that you're supposed to be laughing at her and there's no Henry Tilney.
And it was so cliche and stereotyped, to boot. I could tell what was going to happen before it even happened.

The book started off good. It was funny and exciting and a good read....then somewhere in the middle i found myself checking how many pages were left until the ending and was dissapointed to see that there were still more then a hundred.
unfortunately i never finshed the book. it was long and boring and her weekend felt like an enternity. entirely too mcuh stuff happened to her in a three day period. and she turned out to be a bit og a ding bat
just my personal opinion
