Editorial Review: Many controversies have remained unanswered in Christianity for centuries. Some of these controversies have recently drawn increased attention due to new discoveries in archaeology as well as bestsellers and movies such as The Jesus Tomb and The Da Vinci Code. With the unique perspective only Sylvia Browne could bring, The Two Marys focuses on one of the greatest unknowns: the lives of the two most important women in the life of Jesus.
Jesus' mother had an enormous influence on him, which has mostly been marginalized by the Christian churches. Contrary to the beliefs of all the Christian religions, Jesus did marry Mary Magdalene, and she too influenced his teaching. In The Two Marys, New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Browne uncovers the hidden history of these two women in a remarkable book that will be the perfect gift this Christmas season.

Rating: - The Truth. Finally!!!!!!!
Finally a book that takes all of what we are supposed to be sheltered from and it brings out the truth through the Gnostic Gospels. What a breath of fresh air. Finally we have the truth laid out in front of us and I do wonder how many realize it as the truth and will act upon it. If for nothing else read the appendix and the tenets of Sylvia Browne's religion. They are the real truth about what we have come to call religion. Although it may rock your boat, maybe some people need to have their ... Read More
Rating: - Amazing!
This one really makes you ponder. I'm convinced it's true! I'll bet all those missing books of the Bible that are in the Vatican would corraborate this book. You'll have to buy it to find out what I'm talking about. An excellant reading!
Rating: - Finally a book about the two Mary's that cuts through religious dogma
I originally bought this book as a Christmas present for a very good friend of mine and when she was finished reading the book she loaned it to me. Both of us throughly enjoyed the book, and found it even better then Sylvia's book about the Mystical Life of Jesus. I have since returned the book and decided that I must have a copy for myself. While I had the book I tried to read a 2 or 3 pages a day, but often found myself reading 20 or 30 pages and staying up well past my bedtime.
I was ... Read More
Rating: - The Two Marys by Sylvia Browne
I was a little disappointed with this book. The subject matter was fascinating but there was too much repetition that seemed to simply pad the book out. The whole book could have been written in about 3 chapters.
Rating: - Finally setting the record straight
This was SO reminiscent of Kathleen McGowan's `The Expected One' right down to declaring having had visions of Magdalene's life that helped her write it. I guess Magdalene is pretty insistent the facts be set straight...all those revelations. I enjoy Sylvia's description of the book: a love story. And it certainly is. It tells of Jesus' love for his wife, Magdalene, and Mary's love of her as daughter-in-law. Biblical scholars may not agree - such is their right. Personally I thought it was a wonderful ...
