I had to use this textbook for a criminal justice research class. I found it to be poorly written and extremely dry. Granted, research methods aren't exactly the most interesting topic in the world, but in my opinion this book not only fails to adequately discuss the topics it presents, it poorly presents them. The product came to me with the text in upside down and backwards. It is readable, but it is like the covers are on wrong. So if I want to read it I must flip it over and turn it upside down and the text reads correctly that way.
