I have always had problem skin with acne being my main issue. I've tried a lot of products, but all of them lead to flaky, irritated skin. After a while I gave up and used the "benign neglect" skin care regimen. After reading this book and finding out my skin type I have been able to shop with more confidence and am in the process of implementing the suggestions from the book. So far, so good . . .

I was convinced that my skin was oily because of frequent breakouts. After taking the test in this book I determined that my skin is actually dry. I purchased a couple of the recommended products in the lower price point and have seen such an improvement in my skin! I would have never considered myself to have bad skin - just a few breakouts and some redness that makeup could cover. After countless attempts to find the right products for my face, I eagerly waiting for my book to arrive. When it did I quickly did the questions about skin types, found my skin type and was amazed to find I was not alone. I enjoyed "The Skin Type Solution" but was disappointed when I was not told what make-up products to use for my skin type, I had the only skin type that Dr. Baumann does not give "foundation" recommendations for.
