Rating: out of 5 stars - Pathologic Basis of Disease
This (7th Edition) is a replacement to the Second Edition that I purchased 27 years ago as a requisite text to Human Pathology course in my second year of Optometry school. Similar in size, but with more contemporary concepts, this edition includes many helpful color images and illustrations. Includes up-to-date coverage of many emerging and re-emerging diseases - Lyme, West Nile and MRSA. Includes a CD-ROM that I have yet to explore.

Rating: out of 5 stars - GREAT!
Arrived on time, exactly what I asked for, great condition, no problems. I would definitely order again!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Detailed and thorough
If you are using this to review, probably not a good idea because it is an extensive read. However, if you are learning Patho for the first time, this book will give you everything you need.

Rating: out of 5 stars - essential
I don't read a whole lot, (they should have an Amazon's Reader Poser Anonymous), BUT I do read this book. My instructor actually follows it well. There are also plenty of pictures that jog my memory. Interesting stuff. This along with Janeway's Immunobiology, Bates Physical Exam and the Merke Manual are some of my best purchases for medical school.

Rating: out of 5 stars - favorite med school text
it's got a lot of information in it but this full edition of robbins (we call it "big robbins" to distinguish it from its two smaller siblings which are more "digests" in nature) is a pleasure to read. med school texts can be dry and awful but this one manages to tell the stories of things nicely and from different perspectives in each chapter. by the end of a chapter, you have the sense of seeing a thing multiple times and it hangs together well.
