Oh, the joys of pregnancy! There's the gasiness, constipation, queasiness, and exhaustion; the forgetfulness, crankiness, and the constant worry. Of course, no woman is spared these discomforts and humiliations, but most are too polite to complain or too embarrassed to talk about them. Not Jenny McCarthy! In Belly Laughs, the actress and new mother reveals the naked truth about the tremendous mood swings, the excruciating pains, and the unseemly disfigurement that go along with pregnancy. Never shy, frequently crude, and always laugh-out-loud funny, McCarthy covers it all in the grittiest of girlfriend detail. With tips and hilarious musings on morning sickness and hormonal rage, hemorrhoids, pregnant sex, and the torture and sweet relief that is delivery, Belly Laughs is must-read comic relief for anyone who is pregnant, who has ever been pregnant, is trying to get pregnant or indeed, has ever been born!

Rating: out of 5 stars - A great, truthful look at pregnancy
I just finished this book after starting it yesterday and I love it. I'm not pregnant yet, my husband and I are planning on starting to try next year, so I'm reading up a bit. I love Jenny's frankness about all topics that women wonder about before going through it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is or will be getting pregnant - a good read for men as well, my husband will definitely be reading it!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Great for new mommies
I got this book when I was preggo and LOVED every page. Jenny is so funny but puts things into a "real" perspective on pregnancy.

Rating: out of 5 stars - I LOVE her!!!
Jenny McCarthy is hilarious. This is such a great book to read while pregnant and the perfect diversion from the other scary pregnancy books. It's not only entertaining but it's also a good reference point. Read the rest of her books also, they're just as good!!!

Rating: out of 5 stars - Hilarious & Sooo True!
I read this as a suggestion from my sister during my 4th month of pregnancy. I was in the "easy" part of my pregnancy, so I'll probably read it again in my 9th month so I can appreciate it a little more. Her chapters of various symptoms were absolutely hilarious & blunt. She has a way of describing what our bodies & minds go through in a way that is totally relatable. It may be a bit raunchy for some, but pregnancy isn't always pretty & she says it as it is. Dark nipples, dry heaving, ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Soo True..
I loved this book - its informative AND funny. Great for the mom-to-be who wants to know what to expect in a less "scary" way than "what to expect when your expecting" - I thought that book had all kind of just negative info ( just my opinion).
