Editorial Review:
Revised, updated, and expanded for its Second Edition, this classic anatomic reference is an indispensable guide for the vascular surgeon planning an operation. It contains 568 drawings by a noted illustrator depicting the complex anatomy of the vasculature and surrounding structures, and demonstrating the ideal exposure techniques. Concise legends and text describe the anatomy in relation to the surgical approach. This edition includes more extensive descriptions of cranial nerve anatomy, more anatomic variants, and new surgical approaches such as suboccipital approach to the vertebral artery, retroperitoneal approach to mesenteric vessels, posterior approach to crural arteries, and harvesting the superficial femoral vein.

Rating: - Great for learning and revising vascular anatomy
For the general surgeon, this is an excellent text to crystallise the approaches and exposures required in vascular surgery. It is also a great revision text to refresh one's memory of a particular area before a case. The illustrations are excellent in terms of detail and the perspectives of the illustrations are very relevant from a surgical (rather than anatomical) point of view.
Rating: - A workhorse

The drawings are gorgeous with a very intersting perspective - not just looking from the top or bottom. It is and will be the kind of book that I use not only for studying but for planning procedures. The accompanying text highlights very well the key anatomic landmarks in the dissections. I can wholly recommmed this as a vascular text - especially if you are ... Read More
Rating: - An Invaluable and Essential Resource
Directed towards vascular fellows, practicing vascular surgeons, and senior-level (PGY-4 or -5) surgical residents interested in vascular surgery, this is a comprehensive, 3-D anatomical approach towards describing optimal exposures for every imaginable open vascular procedure. It would probably be of value to vascular interventionalists as well. I found this volume of tremendous help during my vascular fellowship, referring to it daily, and continue to refer to it during my clinical practice on ... Read More
