Editorial Review:Director Ernest Dickerson injects a hearty dose of dark humor in this stylish comic-book horror tale. Based on the campy cable horror series (which was inspired by the 1950s E.C. comic book series of the same name), this tight, modestly budgeted little thriller stars William Sadler as an intense stranger who arrives at a run-down boarding house in flight from the Collector (a cocky, droll Billy Zane). The Collector is after an item in the stranger's possession, which turns out to be a holy relic, and when his efforts end in failure he explodes in a demonic fury that reveals his evil origins, laying siege to the house with an army of zombies and infiltrating the minds of each the boarders with insidious fantasies. It's a seedy Grand Hotel by way of The Exorcist, cooked up with plenty of gore and a smattering of sex, and served with dry wit. Dickerson effectively balances the horror and the humor, maintaining a surprising intensity and an unforced mythic dimension within lurid B-movie conventions. --Sean Axmaker

'Tales' has done it again. Great cast ; Billy Zane plays the best villian. They could not have chosen a better actor. There are some parts that are a little corny, but besides that, the plot is good & the actings well done too. I don't get too tired of watching this movie.

"Demon Knight" is nothing short of brillant. I have been looking for a copy for at least 10 years. I was delighted with the condition of the DVD. The color was brilliant and the focus was clear. Jada Pinkett Smith and Billy Zane are two of my favorite performers. After seeing them in this movie, so many years ago, has kept me looking for more from both of them ever since. This one, in my opinion, is a classic keeper.

Ok, so some parts by be cheesey, but this is great story! Billy Zane of TITANIC, Jada Pinket, before she married Will Smith. Its very entertaining and Billy Zane is sexy as hell. So what if he is bald and the devil?

This movie is hilarious, even though you would normally categorize it as a horror flick. It has an amazing cast: Billy Zane, Jada Pinket (before she was Mrs. Will Smith), William Sadler.
It starts off with a fun car chase, explosions, & slimy demons all within the first 20 minutes of the movie.
Then you have the town drunk, the prostitue, the jerk that everyone hates, the psycho mailman, and Braker (Sadler) in a run-down hotel trying to escape demons & stop the end of the ... Read More
