Passion and Purity is by far the most helpful book I have ever read on "learning to bring your love life under Christ's control" (its subtitle). Elisabeth Elliot honestly and touchingly pens her love story with Jim Elliot (who was later martyred while ministering to the Waorani Indians in Ecuador). After reading I kissed Dating Goodbye, by Joshua Harris, I was feeling a little confused about what I should do while waiting for the one. This book was a Godsend. Elisabeth Elliot has a lot to teach Christian women about waiting for God's perfect timing. This book is a revolutionary peice of literature in today's self-centered society. I highly recommend it for Christian singles, young and old. I read it and loned it to other members of my church.
