I really enjoyed using this book to study for the NCLEX. I liked the layout of the book. It presented the questions on the left of the page with the rationales on the right. It also broke the book up by topics which was helpful for reviewing certain topics. The questions were PRACTICAL and down to earth, unlike some of the other review books I own. The only thing I didn't like was sometimes the rationales didn't make sense. They didn't give enough detail to understand why the answer was correct. ... Read More

I recently passed the NCLEX and I highly recommended this book to my friends who are about to take the exam. I read the NCLEX reviewers by the NSNA, QUE/Rinehart, Saunders (Comprehensive) and Mosby (Comprehensive); in my opinion, Gauwitz comes closest to simulating the real exam. If you want to get a feel of the actual NCLEX, this is a good place to start. The first book to read: Kaplan Strategies. The Second: Gauwitz. Rating:  - Scam! Same questions from other book!
My classmate and I got together for a study session. He was calling out questions from Gauwitz's book, "Complete Review for NCLEX-RN", and I was calling out questions from her "Practice Questions" book. Only there was a small problem: They were the same questions, word for word. I felt like such an idiot for buying this book. The publisher should be required to say in their description of the book that they simply lifted questions from her other book and put a new cover on it. I would think Amazon ... Read More
Rating: - Tech Edit Needed
Great resource with excellent questions but needs tech edit due to watch out on the rational verses the answer, they don't always match. This books is very friendly in the way it is setup. Many of the rationals are only repeating the question back, this is not rational in my book. The CD is awesome for PC users but not great for PDA, it states it supports both Palm and Pocket PC but it stated it would not support my Pocket PC 2002 unit during installation, I still have a tech support call in on this ...
