Editorial Review: With her shining gift for "exquisite and enchanting" (BookPage) storytelling, Jude Deveraux sweeps readers away in a breathtaking follow-up to her beloved New York Times bestseller, The Summerhouse -- where a marvelous new adventure awaits. Magic most definitely resides in the Maine summerhouse where the mysterious Madame Zoya has granted the innermost wishes of its visitors. Now, three women have come to this special place with one thing in common: a painful past they would each like to rewrite. Amy, who hides a heartbreaking loss behind her seemingly perfect marriage and family...Faith, a widow in her thirties whose deepest grief is for a man from years ago...and Zoë, an artist shunned by her hometown for reasons she doesn't know, after a traumatic night erased her memory. With their mystical powers, Madame Zoya and her sister Primrose are about to transport the trio to eighteenth-century England to alter Amy's ancestry. But although surprises await each of them, will stepping back in time bring the women the happy endings they seek?

Rating: - Jude delivers again
Like many others I read it in one day. Great story with beautifully drawn characters. Loved it.
Rating: - Jude Deveraux is always a good read!
Jude Deveraux has been one of my favorite authors for over tweny years. She never fails to give a good read. Return to Summerhouse is no exception. She makes you feel like you are living the part. I love her combining two different time periods in one book. She will always get a good review from me!
Rating: - Not as good
Jude Deveraux wrote such a wonderful surprise of a novel in "Summerhouse" that I was eagerly awaiting a sequel. But if you're hoping for a sequel that is as good as the original, this is not it. The only thing similar is that the characters go to the summerhouse. There is some time travel, but there are no characters that are as loveable as in the original story and a lot more casual love-making. This sequel was a big disappointment to me.
Rating: - Disappointing read from an author I can usually count on
I'm blown away by all the five star ratings this book has received. There are certain authors I can usually count on to give me a good read. Jude Deveraux, Judith McNaught, Lavyrle Spencer, Lesa Kleypas, Teresa Medeiros, and Julie Garwood are a few. It's true that I haven't had much time to read lately, so maybe when I picked up a new book from a "favorite," my expectations were too high. Or maybe I haven't read any Jude Deveraux books lately and my tastes have changed. The biggest surprise ... Read More
Rating: - Great
The original "Summerhouse" was so cool, well written, and has such a strong plot and you want to crawl into that world, so I wondered how is she going to follow this? BUT I knew if anyone could do it, it would be Jude. And well well, she did a great job. This is a lovely book and it makes a rainy day sunny. ;) Can't put it down, and never want it to end.
