The size of this book alone makes it so that it does not qualify for the title of "Handbook." It is a great book, and covers almost everything you need to know. It goes into the anatomy and physiology of an ailment, and then goes into what is happening and so on. Then it discusses pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic ways to treat the ailment.
