I love how this book simplifies, yet shows the most essentials about all parts of our wordrobe: shirts, pants, blazers, sweaters, accessories, etc. Photos compliment their very short suggestions. I like that there are many photos, not too much text. It's a great book for any guy who wants to look half-decent in the city.
What was lacking was that it had very little informaiton on best practises on cleaning, taking care of, washing, etc. I wish it would include more photos of more samples ... Read More

I'm not a big Details Magazine fan, mainly because I've always been preoccupied with GQ and the occasional Esquire. When I bought this product I didn't really know what to expect, and pretty much wondered if it would suit my style. Rather than push into a certain style, the book stays on a more broad spectrum, telling you what to consider and what to definitely avoid. Rating: - Good style advice for a fashion newbie
I recently made a resolution to stop dressing like I'm in college and to start dressing my age, so I picked this book up on recommendation of a friend. The best thing about this book are the excellent photos showing different outfits. I passed up buying some of the "classic" style guides that didn't have good photos. Not all of their recommendations are "me", but it has been very helpful in establishing a good baseline for beginning to build a wardrobe.
