There are only two books avaiable for the MRCGP oral, this and the one by Una Coles. I found this far better. It has lots of questions but also a "concepts" section at the end covering areas such as patient safety, ethical frameworks and consultation models.
Rating:  - use it
Used it. Got a merit. Not many books out there, so worth using this, especially to get a feel for the format of the oral. Will still need to do a little bit of journal/newspaper reading but not too much. Helps give idea/outcome of various options, which is most importatnt part of answers in orals.
Rating: - must have for oral exam!
This is the only book i used for the oral exam last December and it worked i passed! Well written and thought out.
