Based on the Japanese comic books, this two-part story introduces viewers to 14-year-old Serena's millennium-ago past as moon princess. Queen Serenity, the mother Serena/Sailor Moon doesn't remember, reappears to guide her daughter through a vision of what was, in "The Past Returns." Sailor Moon learns the sad fate of her family and civilization at the hands of the evil Queen Beryl's army, as well as the source of her curious connection with Darien. Fueled by her knowledge, she and four other scouts fight Queen Beryl and her Doom & Gloom Girls with renewed vigor in "Day of Destiny." Her cohorts are eventually all captured, leaving Sailor Moon to fight the mean queen one-on-one. The teenage superheroine is victorious, of course, banishing Beryl back to the Negaverse, freeing her friends, and subsequently forgetting her trip into the past--for her own good and that of the future of the WB television series from which this 41-minute video originates. i looove this one. i dont have it but my friend does.it has epiodes 39 and 40.in the first episode the girls learn about their past.in the second episode after learning about their past the girls travel to the north pole to defete oueen beral. but what happens when the doom in gloom girls come and ruin the party.this is the last two episodes of the first season.

Ok, I'm 15 years old, I originally watcheed sailor moon when I was 8 years old when I lived in Germany, where they broadcast it on RTL2, and it was uncut as I remeber. Sadly we moved back to England, with me still thoroughly hooked on sailor moon. My grandparents then bought me two of the Sailor moon videos to feed my addiction, it was this one and the video entitled Jupiter and venus arrive.

This video is one of the first pieces of Sailor moon mechantdice. What I don't like about the video is that it only contains two episodes and its the dub version. At the time they first started putting out episodes of Sailor moon on video it was only two episodes that were "the best". But Sailor moon wasn't the only cartoon/anime that got this kind of video treatment at the time(i can name some of those cartoons if you want me to).

I think this tape is good but the japan version is much better its 22 minutes longer because its a 2 part episode I got mine fansubbed at Mina Arnolds Fansubs they have all The sailor Moon episodes in japanesse with english subtitles. I love the end of each seaso nbecause the bad guys die and its cool but in the japan version you se all the first 5 scouts die its kind of sad and not for young children but good forkids older then 11.
