When his best friend, Bear, loses a tooth and gets a visit from the Tooth Fairy, Franklin is disappointed to learn that as a toothless turtle he is not eligible for the gift or the milestone of growing up shared by the rest of his friends. After he attempts to fool the Tooth Fairy with a pebble, his wise mother takes him for a reassuring doctor checkup. In "Hurry Up, Franklin," the second 11-minute episode from Nickelodeon's animated TV series, slowpoke Franklin is off to Bear's birthday party. But along the way, he is easily talked into a game of hide-and-seek by Fox, a round of leapfrog with Rabbit, and a swim with Otter.
