Rating: - The Last of the Full Grown Men
I like Webb's music, but some of these tracks were beyond my preference. Of the 15 or so on here, I felt only two were good enough to keep listening to.

Cheap Trick, one of my other favorite bands,
should take note here. I realize you guys are
at a disadvantage with TP back instead of Jonny
B Good, but if you guys were more like Webb, and
took more time coming out with your albums, you
might have better efforts, sometimes. Back to
good ole Webb. The 'Idol of Idle' Youth has some
new players in the group (George Bradfute instead
of Donny 'Twanger' Roberts) but it didn't hurt this
recording a bit. ... Read More
Rating: - Ecclectic and Eccentric Webb
From old ballads like "Streets of Laredo" to instrumentals like "Goldfinger,". Webb takes us on a tour of some of the best rock and country of modern music. Rating: - Tour-du-Force of Rockin' Music
Webb's "Town and Country" is a top-notch collection of seminal tunes that helped shape modern music. Unafraid to stand up to the whores and posers of the industry, Webb and his Econoline take real music to the people. Buy this CD for yourself. Buy copies for your friends. Put some in storage for when real music is a collector's item and it will be worth a fortune.
Rating: - A terrific CD! Webb has taste.
When I first saw this, I was afraid it would be a forgettable album made primarily to fulfill contractual requirements (like, e.g., Joan Jett's "The Hit List"). Not so! The cover of "Slow Death," an old Flamin' Groovies tune, is worth the price of the entire album. The more I've listened, the more it's grown on me. Buy this and you won't be disappointed.
