Queen brought a whole new meaning to the phrase over the top. While rock & roll flamboyance stretched back at least as far as Little Richard, Freddie Mercury continued to camp it up, taking little seriously and smirking at the music's growing pretensions while partaking in them no small bit. Many of the band's singles hold up extremely well, such as "Killer Queen" and "You're My Best Friend". The quartet's canny sense of melody and sophisticated vocal harmonies--not to mention Mercury's raised eyebrow--have traveled well through the years. --Rickey Wright

I BOUGHT THIS CD FOR THE FIRST SONGS. THE REST OF THE ALBUM IS FORGETABLE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. THE BICYCLE SONG IS LAME. BUT HEY: THIS IS 80'S MUSIC SO ONE MUST HAVE A LITTLE UNDERSTANDING..

This Queen CD has given me hours of enjoyment from a group that is second to none. There sound is unique and allows them to stand out among the rest. Their music has stayed alive for years even though the highlight of their popularity was in the seventies. Queen will go on indefinitely as timeless music that can be enjoyed and relished for many years to come. Rating: - The almost nearly perfect collection
The first 5 tracks are my favorite Queen songs on the planet (nope, not a diehard fan). The rest of the disk is full of great songs too. I just listened to this complete CD last night and realized: even the songs I've never heard before (nope, not a diehard fan) are interesting at best. I don't think you can go wrong with this, even without Bo-Rhap. If you have any self-respect, get this CD, you deserve it. (Unless maybe there's a newer, better, digitally remastered collection that I'm unaware of).

It is exactly what I wanted.They were my fAVORITES BACK WHEN i WAS YOUNG AND MUSIC WAS STILL MUSIC INSTEAD OF THE CRIMINAL JUNK THAT IS PUT OUT NOW BY PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT A TUNE IS.
