Rating: - Loggins' big masterpiece
After recording hit movie songs and hit songs from movies that bombed. Loggins returned to this album which should be considered a classic.
Gone are the synthsized sounds of his earlier work he is venturing towards more traditional sounds (something his good friend Michael McDonald, who also turns up here failed to do in the 1990s.
1. Will of the Wind- Will Ackerman, get it? A good album opener described as "a prayer".
2. Leap of Faith- The title tune which is one of a few songs ... Read More
Rating: - Conviction and heartful emotions
Luis Mejia (son) - The post-Back To Avalon period wasn't the most graceful period in Loggins career, his personal life was at this point convulsive (through his divorce), but through all of this Loggins had the effort to put his heart and personal emotions in Leap Of Faith, and this is also special because it gets a more touching feeling, a deeper connection with listeners, so the album prooves to be a very mature piece of fine adult contemporary music. Rating: - Kenny Loggins at his best
Leap of Faith by Kenny Loggins is a wonderful combination of several styles of songs. He has a melodious voice which adds enjoyment to the music for the listener.
Rating: - A new direction..but change is good
I would like to start by saying this is not the best Kenny Loggins record ever made contrary to some of the other reviews on here. With that said, this is a good record. Kenny's voice alone would get him 2 stars in my book.
This record was one of three or four records that marked a transition in Kenny's career from an 80's rocker to an introspective folk rocker. While this alblum is decidedly more mellow, the songs are full of purpose and life. Three of the songs can hold their own with ... Read More
Rating: - Loggins is a genius
I was never a big fan of Loggins. But then a friend of mine recommended me to buy this album. Lo and behold, I become addicted to listening this album and later on I bought Loggins other albums. This album outstands and able to deliver messages about relationship (personal or not) in depth, well, at least I got the message clearly. I'm very much impressed with Loggins. He's musically talented and yes, a genius. Can't argue more.
