Free were one of my favourite bands so when Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke formed Bad Co. of course I was there like a shot.
They're not as good as Free (not enough menace and darkness) but this first album was still pretty good stuff. Of course the lyrics are all terribly non-pc but hey, they never pretended to be Dylan.
`The Way I Choose' and `Seagull' are dreadfully dull but apart from that it's all classic early 70's rock.

i think bad company's self titled album is one of the best hard rock albums ever and it has the masterpieces can't get enough, bad company, and moving on. really and can't get enough is what i repeat alot. it is also one of the best albums of the 1970s.

Way back in the 1970s, a friend persuaded me that the best Bad Company album was 'Straight Shooter,' so that was the first of their albums I listened to. It was fair, but not overwhelming. It was many years before I heard this, their debut, and I listened to it for weeks.
