As part of Westwood Studio's 12th Anniversary Celebrations, they released the original Command and Conquer on their website as freeware. It can be downloaded at will.

Rating: - It's still fun, and the music superB
This game rocks, it's still one of the best strategy games of all times, and of course this is the first game I buy with my first computer (133mHZ, 32mbram, 3.1gB).....and i remember every detail of the game when i play it now....
It's just GREAT
The only bad side is that you need a special patch to play it on windows xp....
The Graphics are poor right now, but in 1997 they're awesome
The sound and MUSIC is amazing.....the song "prepare for battle" is still my favorite..... ... Read More

The very first Command and Conquer is extremely fun to play. The missions are exciting and can be challenging at times. You can get glued on this for hours, for fun, or you may be stuck on a complex mission for some time. GDI and NOD are both very cool sides, and both have exotic units and structures.
