Editorial Review:Those looking for a Saving Private Ryan interactive will be pleased with this effort from the games division of Hollywood's DreamWorks studio. Polished with the grit of great WWII films, Medal of Honor shines brightly, despite the graphic limitations of the PlayStation. As U.S. secret service officer James Patterson, you must embark on highly dangerous missions, sometimes in the trenches, sometimes undercover, but always alone and always eliminating the German Nazi threat. The Nazis are equipped with the same weapons as you, and they know how to use them. Throw a grenade and watch soldiers scatter, or better yet kick a steel pineapple back in their direction before it blows. Missions are divided into challenging--but never frustrating--levels that include infiltrating a U-boat pen, destroying a war train while disguised as a German officer, or powering through a group of nasty Gestapo in a quaint French town. A mixture of stealth fighting and action movie bravado, using each with prudence is essential for successfully completing levels. This game is suspenseful, in the way that a good page-turner keeps you up at night. You'll be playing until the end of the level, but when that comes, the briefing for the next level is just too enticing to stop. --Jeff Young Pros: - The best first-person shooter for the PlayStation
- An engaging plot, even for non-history buffs
- Outstanding music and sound design
Cons: - Graphics get blurry when close up
- Replayability is low except in multiplayer mode
- Occasional polygon dropout can enable player to see through some walls

Electronic Arts has their papers in order. This game was the first FPS I played for the PS1. One of the best FPS games of all time. Epic campaign, fun multiplayer, and cool cheats make this game the best medal of honor game of all time. The funnest part of this game is shooting the officers in the head after they asked you for your papers and they said they were not in order. Must buy if somehow don't already have this classic.

This game was great I had never felt like I was in the middle of a warzone like I did when I played Medal of Honor. The story line was perfect and so was the realistic aspect.

This is a game that reminds me why I bought a game system ot begin with. Granted the graphics are half horrible and the shot detection is vague, the story is what gets you. If you are looking for a game with great graphics, game play, and all the other fixings an effects junkie wants, this is not for you, however, if you are the story gamer, drawn in and emotionally experiencing the game. you have found the game for you. I also advise this game to those history buffs out there looking for an enjoyable ... Read More

I havent played this game in about 10 years now, but when I bought it, it was the best thing out there.
It has to be one of the best PS1 games around.
The missions are all challenging and very fun and after you beat it you'll countinue to play it.
A great old game!~

Before I fixed my older brother's beleaguered PSone library of games this was one of the highlights of the collection of his before I bought a ton of new awesome games for it. World War II games have never really fit me, mostly over the fact when killing enemies on shooters I'm used to supernatural, aliens, or criminals. When I decided to play this game I was surprised by how much I liked it. Here's the scenario, you're a soldier fresh out of training with an outstanding training record, so you begin ... Read More
