Dragon seems to be an undiscovered tool. It allows me to dictate consultation notes and business letters in copious quantities without the expense of a typist or what would surely turn into a carpal tunnel syndrome. It's faster than using a typist as the turnaround time is instant.
It's not perfect. I frequently have to use the mouse and the keyboard for absolute accuracy, but it beats typing by far. You can train unusual words in no time. It's only 99 dollars and worth a shot. You have ... Read More

Dragon NaturallySpeaking software is, in my opinion, the best speech recognition software on the market (and you pay for the fact). It is highly accurate, especially if you speak clearly, and is easy to train. Even corrections and navigation are easy to do entirely via voice commands. If you do a lot of writing, even if you're a fast typist, it will save you time and definitely wrist discomfort. There are drawbacks, however. It needs a fast processor and lots of RAM.
