The Palm m500 comes with all the classic personal information management tools you expect: Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, Memo Pad, Mail, and Clock. It has 8 MB of built-in memory, enough to store thousands of addresses, years of appointments, hundreds of to-do items, and more than 50 applications. The expansion card slot is a dual-purpose slot that can hold two types of cards: Secure Digital and MultiMediaCard (MMC). Both types of cards are small, inexpensive, and easy to plug in. Much like computer diskettes, they hold information for upload or download onto a handheld. With them, you can instantly add software programs, e-books, large databases, graphics, or even video files to your handheld without sacrificing memory space. I wanted something to replace my Sharp YO-520 data organizer w/ 1 MB that was suffering from a screen going bad, without resorting to buying a smart phone and paying the $30/mo subscription fee. I have almost 2,000 names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, anniversaries, and passwords in my Sharp, so I pretty much can't live without this information. If you are running Windows 7, DO NOT PURCHASE this product. No support available as it is a product no longer supported by Palm. I have tried every resource I could find to resolve my Hot Sync issues with no luck. Really made a mistake by purchasing this item.

A friend and I needed a way to carry large amounts of simple data without carrying books. We checked for PDA's, but the new ones were quite expensive and did all kinds of things we didn't need or want to do. This level of technology is perfect for this specific use. We can sit in class and look up information and specific passages in books that we've downloaded. We've worked with them for about 4 weeks now, and they are good, serviceable, and if they die in a year we're not out a ton of money. Highly ... Read More

I bought this to help me do inventory at work, as well as to help keep track of my food orders from different providers, and so far I am very pleased with the machine. It does everything I need it to do and more. I was able to download a spreadsheet program that makes doing my inventory very easy.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 18 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, SHE LOVED IT BUT HAD TO
SEND IT BACK BECAUSE IT WORKED TWO DAYS. I LIKE THE FEATURES BUT
NOT SURE HOW LONG THE REPLACEMENT WILL LAST. THE SCREEN STOPPED
WORKING WITH THE STYLUS. BOUGHT THUMBOARD, WORKED ONE DAY AND QUIT.
