Rating: out of 5 stars - This Beat Could Win Me The Grammy!
Aaah, my man Mike Patton. Erstwhile Faith No More frontman (and Grammy winner) and fulltime iconoclast, he has finally turned his attention somewhere in between the (relatively) straight-up riffing of Faith No More and the outright counterculture fetishism of Fantomas and come up with an excellent substitue for Ritalin.

Tomahawk is a sort of avant-garde alternative rock messiah, and something the Amercian music scene really needs right now....take the lyrical and theatrical post-modern ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Intriguing art rock outing
Despite the fact that this is credited and was marketed very much as a band it's pretty clear to blind Freddy that this is the Mike Patton show. His presence no doubt secured such a big time record deal, support for tours etc and given how influential his previous band Faith No More were combined with his distinctive vocal delivery its easy to see why most of the media attention for this album focussed on him. Rating: out of 5 stars - Mike Patton's Tomahawk
Everything you liked about Faith No More is here. And something else. What is that something else ? A lack of restraint ? Impromptu anonymity providing a free pass to be as brutal and intelligent as you wish ? Whatever it is, Mike Patton takes it and produces yet another indescribably great hard rock record. Patton's overview of situation is never on better display. Hard, sardonic, and utterly grateful. Surely the stuff of legends.

Rating: out of 5 stars - ANOTHER PATTON PROJECT
THE FIRST RELEASE FROM TOMHAWK,GREAT DISC.THIS IS PROBRABLY PATTONS MOST NORMAL EFFORT,IT`S GOOD STRAIGHT FORWARD ROCK WITH A LITTLE BIT OF CRAZINESS HERE AND THERE,A MUST FOR ANY PATTON FAN.

Rating: out of 5 stars - supergroup expectations exceeded
do you like the sound of mike pattons' voice? do you recognize duane denisons' unique and compelling guitarisms? do you like the growling, aggressive bass of kevin rutmanis? ...of course you dig john stanier's drums (helmet). well those are all together on this cd. don't be an anal retentive demagogue and refuse to enjoy it because it's not as 'punk' as the COWS/MELVINS or as heavy as HELMET, or as prog as MR.BUNGLE. don't be uptight like some of opionated individuals that have reviewed this cd. this ...
