Hip Hop Shop's winning equation: 10 dance moves, a few cute and talented kids, three pro teachers (including the pioneering CrazyLegs of Rock Steady Crew), and one infectious philosophy: Hip hop's all about "the flavor you bring to the dance." You gotta have "flow." You also oughta have ready access to the rewind button to replay the instructions a few hundred times. While the steps are broken down to kid-friendly basics, the action can seem head-turningly complicated. The six hip-hop moves are the most accessible, while the break dancing sometimes appears comically confusing. Yet the precocious backup dancers, regular-looking kids who mirror the video's target age of 5 to 12, make all the right moves, making it seem like there's hope for even the most dance-impaired child, or parent, to "find your groove" in the privacy (thankfully) of home. --Valerie J. Nelson
The most popular moves from the hottest pop videos are taught to pre-teens in this program. The slick styles of hip-hop dancing becomes fun and easy with the help of the best dance teachers in the industry.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Hip Hop Shop
Not as professional as off da hook, I perfer watching off da hook, I'm not sure about the kids preference. But it didn't cost as much so I guess you get what you pay for

Rating: out of 5 stars - Fun
This is a fun video, especially for kids in need of physical activity. My 5 year old daughter and her eight year old friend had a great time practicing the moves. Neither was able to get it on the first couple of tries, but after practicing 4 or 5 days they have it now. The video is about an hour long and is more fun when done with at least one other person.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Sorry I bought this
This DVD is very cheesy and I am sorry I bought it.

Rating: out of 5 stars - I"M IN THE VIDEO
Hey I'd just like to say that I'm one of the kids in the video and its great to read all the good feedback on the video. I'm glad you guys like it because we put a lot of time and effort into making it. CrazyLegs and Robin are two of the best Hip-Hop teachers in New York and it was great to have them collaborate on this video for the public. Thanks again.

Rating: out of 5 stars - A good teaching video for children & early teens
I got this video for my 5 1/2 yr old to begin to get some experience in "party" dancing. The moves are very easy to follow. She loves the video, as does her younger 3 1/2 yr old sister. They have watched it 5 or 6 times now and still love it. While the oldest is not a master of the moves yet, it is exactly what I was looking for. It is a video that introduces her to some dance steps, while encouraging her to create her own. It allows her to have fun (not sit in front of the TV) and learn some ... Read More
