Rating: out of 5 stars - All-around excellent album
Brilliant songwriting, masterful vocals, and stirring instrumentals - what more could one want out of one album? This type of rock 'n' roll merits the designation "art". Kansas delivers it all and keeps the listener coming back for more.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Kansas' second consecutive best seller is still a classic 30 years on
Kansas bred progressive rockers Kansas' fifth album entitled Point of Know Return was released in September of 1977.
The album was the follow-up to their Top 5 Quadruple Platinum selling masterpiece Leftoverture. The pressure was now on for singer/keyboard player Steve Walsh (who had writer's block on Leftoverture but co-wrote six songs on PoKR (including the title cut with drummer Phil Ehart and violinist Robbie Steinhardt whilst the rest were co-written with Kerry Livgren) and wrote the ... Rating: out of 5 stars - KANSAS's Peak - Musically, and Popularity
KANSAS - Point of Know Return (1977) (*****) 12 tracks - (54:37)

The boys from Topeka did not slow down a bit after the breakthrough success of Leftoverture. They followed it up the very next year with what would become their most popular album ever and achieve something that had eluded the band for years - a top 10 single. Point of Know Return contains the smash hit Dust In The Wind. An all acoustic track that was nothing like any song KANSAS had ever done before or would ever ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Always Interesting
Great cover, Great CD. Not a fan of remasters. Give me the original everytime. This album and Lefoverture are must have Kansas albums. I like all of their stuff. Always interesting. Excellent musicians, lyrics, voices, (not as much now) Great band. Well worth delving into if you're not familiar.

Rating: out of 5 stars - (4.5 stars) PROGRESSIVE ROCK THAT ROCKS ! (Point Of No Return is a Kansas classic)
Point Of No Return (1977) was Kansas' follow-up to their hugely sucessful Leftoverature album, and it's just as good, if not better, than it's predecessor. The classical-rocking title track, the acoustic Zen anthem Dust In The Wind, and the Albert Einstein tribute Portrait (He Knew) were the hits, but everything here is good. Sparks Of The Tempest, Nobody's Home, and Hopelessly Human are also highlights. Kansas' sound is progressive like Yes and Genesis, but they lean more towards an American rock ... Read More
