Editorial Review: The Dark Knight and his cohorts Robin and Batgirl do battle with a scarily sympathetic archvillain in this superior animated movie that both kids and adults can watch without feeling insulted. While not quite as inspired as the previous Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (which is still the best portrayal of the title character ever to grace the screen), this well-plotted, awesomely stylish wall-to-wall actioner perfectly captures the fundamental essence of the classic comics, and makes the treatment of the same characters in the painful live-action Batman & Robin look even more ineptly misguided. Simply put, this is how the Masked Manhunter of Gotham should be depicted. --Andrew Wright

Rating: - I Would Give it 0 Stars!
Stupid, Corny, and Predictable. The worst movie ever. Trust me folks, I've seen Batman, and this ISN'T Batman. Watch the newer Batman movies starring Christian Bale if you want to watch Batman. They're much better.
Rating: - Baby it's cold outside
Many reviews of Sub Zero compare it unfavorably to Mask of the Phantasm. The criticisms usually come down to two things, the prominence of Barbara Gordon over Batman, and the awkward melding of traditional with computerized animation. Regarding the former, the movie is a bit slow at the midpoint with its' focus on Barbara and her many attempts at escape, and while Batman's absence is noticeable, he fortunately has starred in many other cartoons, so his reduced role here is not as troublesome. Rating: - Very brilliant
I must say I certainly did enjoy this Batman animated film as much as I enjoyed Mask of the Phantasm. Like the usual Batman the Animated Series, it has emotion, thrills, drama and action/adventure. This time Batman and Robin are up against the cold-hearted Mr.Freeze.
The story goes as Mr.Freeze who is desperately trying to save his wife Nora who is fatally ill. He heads to Gotham City to search for a cure with his assistance Gregory Belson, a top-level Cryogeneiticist at the Wayne Company. They ... Read More
Rating: - Literally cool Batman animated feature
The only complaint I have with this movie is it's too short and it also needs more action. A superb animated feature nonetheless.
Rating: - The least of all of the Batman animated features.
I haven't seen this one in a very long time and now I reminded myself why. This felt more like a really long episode than a movie. The story was pretty good but the plot was very simple. It focused too much on cat & mouse between Freeze and Barbara Gordon. There wasn't enough Batman. And Robin was focused on too much. That's really bad since Robin isn't that interesting of a character to begin with. They do a real good job on Mr. Freeze's character as usual. He is a very easy villian to feel for simply because ...
