Editorial Review: Based on the popular Ogre Battle games, Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis marks the first installment of the series on a portable platform. As Alphonse, a knight of Galicia, you're sent to investigate the intentions of the suspect governing body of the Holy Lodis Empire and solve the mystery of Ovis. Players will encounter many battles to test their wit and strength, and their experiences will determine the true nature of their characters, as well as game's possible endings. The game offers more than 40 hours of gameplay, as well as a head-to-head battle mode via the separately sold Game Boy Advance link cable.

Rating: - One of the best Tactical RPG's to date.
This game is so deep that it is not humanly possible to explain every point to the game. Well, first, let's start off with the story.
It's 15 years after a reformation, and your going to an island to stop a rebellion/conflict. Simple, eh? Haha, no. This story is amazingly deep. In some cases I had trouble understanding what they were doing, since most "E" games are really easy to understand. It's actually like your character's in a war. Treason, battles, death, choices and decisions, ... Read More
Rating: - One of a few true strategy games available for the Gameboy Advance
Be careful, this game will suck up your time. As an adult it is hard to find games for the Gameboy Advance that keep my attention for long. If you are an Advance Wars fan as I am then this game should be a part of your collection. Get extra batteries!
Rating: - Best Gameboy RPG Ever!
I have owned this game for quite some time and I also own just about every other video game system ever made. I have played through the game about eight times now. The possiblility of multiple paths as well as different endings makes this game new ever time you play it. The gameplay is involving. The character class system is wonderful. The game, while not graphicly astounding, still looks beautiful. The music is the only thing I think could be better, but it is only a minor thing. If you're looking ... Read More
Rating: - A fun game, worth owning.
I picked up Tactics Ogre a while back hoping for an enjoyable rpg experience. Though this game is turn-based, I was not dissapointed at all. Game play is pretty intuitive, I was able to pick up the game and play without having to read much of the manual at all. The graphics are well done, I enjoy the stylized fantasy sprites. The storyline is intriguing enough to keep you interested, also, rather than just speeding through the cut scenes to fight the next battle. All in all if you enjoy turn-based strategy ... Read More
Rating: - Fun, enjoyable, and worthwhile!
To start off, this game is much like FFT, yet not as good, such as the storyline, but I won't go on, this game came before FFT anyway.
Much like FFT you have a little map an you go to places doing missions, gaining new weapons, earning spells, going to shops, and having to deal with the regular fantasy world of this Medival age. One feature I love is that when you defeat one enemy, they will usually drop a bag, and inside is an item! it can be a weapon, stat raiser, or a herb of some sort.
