This portable radio is perfect for travelers who want to keep in touch with their favorite FM/AM and TV stations. The Sony ICF-M410V even receives NOAA weather stations to allow up-to-date metrological forecasts and warnings. With shuttle dial operation and five direct keys for memory presets, this radio allows quick access to your favorite stations. There are twenty presets, five stations for each band. One important feature of the ICF-M410V is the sleep/turn-on timer. With this feature, it is possible to not only have the radio turn off after a selected amount of time, but also to have the radio turn on at a preset time.
This four-band radio picks up FM, AM, TV and weather channels. FM frequencies range between 87.6 and 108 MHz while AM frequencies range from 530 to 1710 kHz. You will pick up TV VHF channels 2-13 and weather channels 1-7. You can listen to the radio via the 3 1/8" speaker, or through optional headphones via the headphone jack. Whether through the built-in ferrite bar antenna or the telescopic FM, TV and weather antenna, you are sure to receive the best possible reception. Sony designed this portable radio for on-the-move enjoyment. Either carry the lightweight radio like a small bag, or set the small radio on a desk or dresser. To power this sleek, ergonomic radio, use either an optional AC adaptor or three AAA batteries.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Good Radio for the price
This Sony Radio works well. Pick up radio signals well. The batteries last long but I purchased a AC adapter so I can plug in. I use it at work to mostly listen to AM Radio and once in a while FM. Works well for what I use it for. I would purchase again.

Rating: out of 5 stars - JUST RIGHT
I got this radio as a gift and was surprised by how much it cost but it's worth it. It works as well as the CC Radio with about 1/3 the weight. Works great on weak AM signals, especially with the CC AM antenna.

Rating: out of 5 stars - good AM radio but no light!? duh...
The biggest feature I use is the sleep timer, AM radio puts me to sleep, what can I say. But the no light thing is really dumb, why would they leave that out? yeesh... If I didn't have a pair of night vision goggles I wear to bed, I would be lost. I also like to feature that blocks out Bush's voice and inserts easy listening jazz. I'm not a jazz fan but I'm starting to be.

Rating: out of 5 stars - where can I find another radio like this
I probably went through 30 AA cells before I bought rechargables for this radio. I lost it on a camping trip and am looking for something that compares. It was my favorite radio I bought it for $30-$40 and see now that you can only get it for 179$!$! as a refurb?

Rating: out of 5 stars - Will the TV portion of this work after the digital conversion?
Will I still be able to receive the TV signals after 2/2009 when analog goes away? Or will I need a converter of some sort?
