Editorial Review:A Glowing Bug Man has been spotted wandering the halls. Exhibits are damaged, specimens mixed up, even the cafeteria is a wreck! Is this the work of the Glowing Bug Man? Help Scooby and the gang search for clues to discover the truth behind the case.
Welcome Scooby and the gang--Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy--who have been called in to solve a puzzling problem in the Kudzula County Museum of Natural History. A strange Glowing Bug Man has been seen roaming around the halls of the museum: things start to happen, property is wrecked, specimens get mixed up, and all sorts of other devilment occurs. Who is this man? Where has he come from? Is he the one creating havoc? The museum must stay closed while the pandemonium and ransacking continues. Help Scooby and the gang find out what's happening. Assist them in restoring the exhibits and spotting clues to solve the case. And never fear, help is always on hand from Nigel Nightwatch, head of the museum's security department. This CD-ROM is aimed at children ages 5 to 10 and covers a large range of abilities. The broad age span is accommodated through three levels of difficulty, thus creating the appropriate challenges for a particular age or ability. The activities offered are full of fun and excitement and allow players to investigate by using logic, critical thinking, research, deductive reasoning, matching, and sorting--all necessary to encourage the development of thinking and problem-solving skills (and your children won't even realize they're learning!). Some of the activities can be printed out so enjoyment can continue even after the PC has been switched off. Accompanying the package is a simple leaflet explaining installation, but it should be noted that the excellent user's guide, which is clear, concise, and comprehensive, can be accessed from the main menu. This should be read before beginning, and help may be needed for younger players. --Susan Naylor
A mysterious glowing bug man--zoinks!--has been spotted at the Museum of Natural History. Join Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred as they hunt for clues and solve a mystery. Zero in on suspects in six different areas of the museum, all in puzzling disarray. Along the way help the Mystery, Inc., gang fix the exhibits. Collect enough clues and use the museum's personnel files to get to the bottom of this buggy mystery. In the case of The Glowing Bug Man, kids join Scooby and the gang in collecting clues and solving puzzles that will crack this pesky case. The game's eight sleuthing activities and three difficulty levels move the mystery from spooky to spookier to spooktacular. Kids build critical-thinking, problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and logic skills, while the software provides help whenever a child needs it. Plus, printable and music activities let kids extend the fun beyond the computer for an extra Scooby snack.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Scooby Doo Glowing Bug Man
This game is a good fun learning game for kids, especially if you like Scooby Doo. It has you go around to different places and find clues to help solve a mystery, just like in the shows.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not the best Scooby Game
After playing some other Scooby games my daughter (8) and I decided to pick up this one. Unfortunately it was not as good as the previous one we played (Some Egypt location game). This one was more annoying than anything else. She finished it really quickly and basically put it away for good shortly after. The previous game has a high replay value - not so with this one. It might be fun for younger ones though...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great game for young kids and mentally handicapped adults!
I teach mentally handicapped adults with the average mental intelligence of kindergarteners and first graders. Although ultimately, this game was too hard for my students to play on a regular basis, parts of it were definitely suitable for my students in being both challenging and fun to play. I would definitely recommend this game for first graders and older and that in the beginning, it would help to play this game with your kids until you feel they are comfortable enough to play this game by ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Loads of fun but over to quickly!
My son loves Scooby Doo so of course this was the perfect choice for his first Computer game. He is only 4 and just learning how to use a Computer so I had to help him.

The setting is great in the Museum and he loved the different rooms you get to explore with bugs, dinosaurs and old bones. Each room contains some sort of a puzzle or game where at the end when you finish you receive a clue to match up with the 5 possible suspects. The one thing I didn't like is that some of the puzzles ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Doesn't run when Nero is installed.
I can't get this program to run with Nero installed, I just get an errorbox about a debugger. The game runs fine when Nero is uninstalled, but after re-installing Nero it refuses again.
Tried this on various computers (XP Pro and Home, English and Norwegian version, Nero OEM and Full) but got the same results everywhere. Customer support doesn't get further than advising to uninstall Nero.
Don't buy this program if you need Nero.
