These turned out to be the perfect mounts for my application. I have unusually heavy bookshelf speakers (Aperion) that I wanted to mount for use as my rear speakers in a 7.1 setup. I had trouble finding sturdy and unobtrusive mounts that would support them and give me some flexibility in terms of positioning. My speaker company recommended these, so I gave them a shot. Rating: - Screwed over by Amazon
The item was perfect, just not what I ordered or wanted. Amazon says I ordered the wrong item and I had to pay return shipping and a re-stocking charge. I sent Amazon a copy of the original order confirmation and it did not say ceiling mount anywhere, as it didn't when I ordered them!
I doubt that I will ever order from Amazon again as this was an expensive time wasting event that I will never want to repeat.

The ceiling speaker mount was easy to install. I mounted a 12 pound speaker on the mount, which was designed to support up to 20 pounds. It held the speaker securely into position.
