Editorial Review: Metroid Fusion is a side-scrolling action game that's more in line with the series' NES origin than its GameCube contemporary, the first-person action game Metroid Prime. In this one, players take the bounty hunter Samus on an extermination mission through a research facility to kill X parasites--nasty creatures that absorb and assimilate the powers of their host. After she survived an X attack through the use of a vaccine made with X parasite DNA, she can now absorb the parasites to regain health and obtain special powers, like the morph ball, space jump, and wave beam. The problem is that the parasites are quickly making their way through the research lab's many dangerous projects and subsuming their abilities. As a special bonus to GameCube owners, Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion can each unlock special features in the other game via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable. For example, by completing Metroid Fusion, you can unlock the original NES version of Metroid in Metroid Prime. By completing Metroid Prime, you can unlock Samus's fusion suit for use in Metroid Prime.
In Metroid Fusion. you get to play the warrior woman Samus Aran as she battles an all-new threat! New action, new enemies, same classic gameplay that has defined Metroid games!

Rating: - Fun shooter
Metroid Fusion is a great game. It's different from the other Metroid games in a good way. The story is very interesting. I like the games style but it could be less serious. Overall, it's worth playing if you like Metroid. It's just not as fun as Metroid Prime.
Rating: - Classic Metroid Style with Some Upgrades
If you've played any of the classic Metroids, you know what to expect here. This game is just like its predecessors. You will be dungeon crawling to find power ups for your varia suit. Most of those will be found within a boss you must slay. There are tons of secrets to find as well as an added bonus of fear. Often times you are forced to either flee from the major enemy or to hide until it leaves. It makes for a very intense gaming experience. This is a great game for anyone who loves shooting ... Rating: - Fantastic GBA game, a must have
This was a very well made Gba game, just like its past on game systems.
I love this, and is probably my favorite for Advance.
The game is loaded with secret stuff, and it's so fun to be chased around by Sa-x. The only major drawback I found on this was I bought it here on Amazon, and not long after I bought it I found out it didn't save right.
It just goes to show you you're taking a risk if you buy games online used, so I recommend getting some games new.
Rating: - doesn't have that Metroid feel to it
On its own merit this is a very good game. However, Metroid fans may be disappointed in this outing. I am a huge Metroid fan. I have played them all except for Metroid II and Prime: Hunters and this is the weakest outing of the series. The major problems of this game are 1. The story kinda rams itself down your throat instead of the subtle story telling of the previous Metroid games. The reason the stories in previous Metroid games were so great was because you were creating the story as you went along. ... Read More
Rating: - GREAT GREAT uh-oh...
Hoo-wee, that was fun! Plenty of plot, tons of shooting and secrets, I just wish that there was more. X( Otherwise, yup, the bosses were very well made and exciting(except for the spider in the elevator. CANT. FREAKING. KILL IT.) Plenty of map not to get lost on, and the gallery photos are shweet. I give it an A- for being so sadly short!
