If you're like most people, your life is filled with appointments, social engagements & meetings. Keeping track of it all can be tough. Until Sony created the Clie, that is. From a Palm OS 4.1 & 8MB built-in memory to Calendar, Appointment & To-Do List functions, this is one sharp organizer. But it doesn't stop there. It also includes great entertainment & expansion features, like a Memory Stick expansion slot, a built-in MP3 player & a video player. Who says life has to be all work and no play?
The Palm-powered PEG-NX60 Clié handheld provides everything you need to stay entertained and organized. It features Palm OS 5.0 and an ARM-compliant 200 MHz CPU for enhanced overall performance and exceptional multimedia experience.
The PEG-NX60 is equipped with a wireless communication slot for adding an optional wireless local area network (802.11b) card, so you can browse the Web, check e-mails, and synchronize data without being bound by wires. (Wireless LAN access point sold separately and Internet service provider is required.)
This Clié also incorporates a voice recorder feature for recording and playback of voice memos. A 128 MB Memory Stick holds approximately 535 minutes of voice recording in LP mode. You can also store your favorite MP3 tracks on Memory Stick media and enjoy music on your Clié handheld. An audio remote controller and headphones are included.
Note: Some third-party software and devices may currently not be compatible with or may have limited functionality with this model. Please confirm with third-party vendors or manufacturers for compatibility. Memory Stick media is necessary for storing audio and video content (Memory Stick media sold separately). The PEG-NX60 is compatible with Magic Gate Memory Sticks (sold separately). This handheld is compatible with Sony's wireless LAN card (PEGA-WL100) only (sold separately).

I have owned one of these PDA's since it first came out. The only problem I ever had was I had to replace the rechargeable battery after about 8 years. The only reason I am looking for a new one now is that my wife's cats knocked it off my desk one too many times, and the LED screen went out. I never had any problems w/ this PDA and I would recommend it to any of my friends. The camera worked good and I even had multiple 5 min videos on it and it barely took up any space on my external memory card ... Read More
Rating:  - Couldn't live without my Clie PEGNX60
I've enjoyed my Clie for three years and the only problem I've experienced was when it became necessary to send the unit back to Sony repair center in San Diego last month to replace the built in battery at a fixed cost of $135! Plus shipping expenses.
The Palm operating system is great and the syncing to Outlook and my WORD and Excel files has been reasonably seamless. Occasionally I've had to contact Sony telephone support, maybe 10 times in three years. Overall I'd give Sony technical support ... Read More

I know this PDA is now old news but I must say that I absolutely love it! I find myself on the crossroads of whether to upgrade or not and it's killing me. I started many years ago with the Palm IIIxe, then briefly moved to the Pam Vx and then I purchased the Clie NX60. As fate would have it, before I even opened up the box, my office puchased PocketPC's for everyone. I never returned my Clie and it remained stored away in a closet.

I bought this device for use at work. I work as an emergency medicine physician so I was looking for something that would be "almost" pocket size or just easy to carry around in scrubs.
Good points about this unit. It is very light compared to later models. Great color screen, very durable, sony brand quality. No camera. A good point because the unit is lighter, you are not paying extra money for poor, poor quality pictures, and you can purchase a pocket size digital camera for good prices now ... Read More
Rating: - An Excellent PDA
If you know you want a Palm-based PDA, then this is the one. It's got a 200Mhz processor which makes it fast enough.
Also has a voice recorder which can be fun as well as useful (It's easier to record your own voice when driving than it is to type something into your pda)
With the memory stick media, you can play MP3s. You can fit anywhere from 20-40 songs (2-4 albums) on a 128MB memory stick.
Also cool is the attached keyboard.
