- ADS work JUST FINE
dont know what you bleepin blips are talking about....Have had no problems with a {G3}--EMPHASIS-- G3 ibook mac and iMovie capturing analog video thru a TV.Yes, it works from a DVD player.Sound like the problems yall are having is incomplete computer issues.DEFRAG like mad if you work with digital video.This should be a no brainer.Ensure your system meets specs BEFORE buying the capture device. - Component 480i Capture Failure
I was skeptical after reading the mixture of good and not-so-good feedback, but I had faith, and went ahead and purchased the API-555. :)

I intended to capture my Xbox 360 game footage and make a video--add sound--the whole nine yards. I realized that this unit can only capture 480i component output. What they don't say anywhere in the manual, is that it doesn't downconvert to 480i, you actually have to convert or input 480i yourself. Even when I attempt to do so, still, no go.

- Adobe Software not compatible with AMD
Another incompatibility problem with this product. The Adobe software that comes with the product is not compatible with any 32 bit AMD chip. Again, no warning when buying. Wait to you get it out of the box and setup, until you find out the software doesn't work. Great!

I have used the Pyro Link for more than 6 months, and have captured dozens of VHS tapes. This unit is flawless !!! I don't know why others are having problems. I also know of 2 others that own and use it without problems also. There is no better converter for the price and no better customer service. If you have a problem, just email tech support, they get back to you in 24 hours and solve the problem quickly. I could not be happier with my choice.

I got this convertor for one purpose which is to convert a DV out from my windows XP computer to a composite NTSC signal and for that purpose it is flawless. Installation was completely plug and play .. no software to install no need to read the manual.. it simple works.
