I'm not going to go into all the technical details about this product since there are plenty of reviews that already do that. I just wanted to give this Canon MP730 a great review since I've had it for over 3 years and its still working perfectly. I've never had a single issue and its still working great! I use it for faxing, printing, scanning, and copying. I have a dedicated fax line, so I'm not sure about the other fax features when its sharing the main phone line. Before I got my fax line, ... I've owned this printer for a year, and am very happy with all aspects of the printer with the exception of Ink usage. All of the features work properly, they are easy enough to learn and the print quality and speed are fine. Uses Ink up too fast for my liking.

I've had this machine for more than a year and use it as a backup for my laser printer, as well as for occasional faxing and scanning. It's fine for printing and faxing, but the scanner is so poorly designed--it's amazing. I teach technology skills for a living, and I find the scan function absolutely baffling to use. So counterintuitive, I suspect that the engineers are somehow playing a joke on Canon and the company has not noticed yet.

I purchased two MP 730 Canon All in One machines at Staples. One about 11 months ago and one 9 months ago. Right now I am sitting here with neither one working. My roommate uses one with her personal computer and i use mine with my computer. They are not at all heavily used and we are the only ones who use them. They are not even used daily sometimes. Having had a Canon printer before and loved it, I was anxious to try this one after a couple of years of using a donated HP (which I hated). The Canon is superior in every way to every printer I've ever used. Not only does it print nicely, it makes great copies. The fax and scan functions are relatively easy to use, and most of the functions on the machine are intuitive.
