As I researched this purchase the most common complaint is that it doesn't work in the bright light. I have found this is accurate. Otherwise this works well.
Rating: - works great but needs a better mount
Like all electronics, Pioneer has its good points and not so good. Two examples: I have their top of the line NAV system in my car and it is fantastic, but the use of light colored side roads makes them difficult to see in the day - almost useless in bright sunlight, and no control can help that. (Are you listening, Pioneer for the next update?)

Rating:  - Dont buy it if you are looking for something to attach to the wheel
I bought this about 2 months ago and it does not work if you attach it to the wheel. I always have it detached and that is the only way to use this remote.

I've used this product for a couple of months now, and its an OK product. I had to take it off the steering wheel though, because I hated the feeling something on the wheel. I attached it to the handbrake of my Honda Civic, so the IR LEDs are facing the unit. (Which technically means it upside-down.)
