Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Phenomenal
"You need to EXPERIENCE this album!" is how we can sum up this review.

I recently came across this album and I'm been completely blown away by it. It's just that good. I'll definitely be looking into the rest of EITS's material.

3 guitars and a drumkit and they deliver to you a symphony. Positively brilliant album, but don't trust me, you need to experience this for yourself! Oh, and if you like this album, look into Mono's newer albums (Hymn to the Immortal Wind,You Are ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The flaws only accent the beauty.
After listening to this album dozens of times, I will readily admit that it isn't perfect. No album is. Most of the tracks on "The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place" have points where they feel like they're just going on too long. They have points where they lose their individuality and all seem to blend together. These points, however, are short lived when contrasted with the soaring triumph of the rest of the album. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Warm and Alive Album
The music is simple, and simple enough to be complex at the same time. "First breath after coma" ... what a brilliant description of the sounds in this album, it explains the vibe perfectly. And under proper operating room conditions, namely, with a good set of headphones and some peaceful time for oneself, I think that this album could help somebody learn to appreciate life again. For there's a revolting amount of hate in today's music, which is why an album like this deserves 5 stars for sharing ... Read More

nothing else to say other than its powerful and awesome. each song stands alone so well on their own yet they come together to form a greater sum. like a megazord or something. word.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Find the Vinyl Version - It's Even Better
I really love Explosions in the Sky. This is one fantastic group. They appear frequently in movie soundtracks and have a style all their own. There is nobody like this group, nobody that plays the guitars this well.

What I found truly amazing, this album is available on Vinyl. Seek this out. It is a two LP package. The pressings are on very heavy vinyl. And this is something absolutely unique I have never seen, these guys worried so much about audio quality and making perfect pressings that ... Read More
