Over a career of Jazz, R&B and crossover recordings, husband and wife duo Tuck & Patti have produced a remarkable amount of music, especially considering that they rely on the textures of only guitar and voice. Having built their reputation on their sublime interpretations of classic songs from all genres, the duo again explores this approach, but this time with a little something extra: The addition of keyboardist and string arranger Frank Martin and cellist Joseph Herbert on four songs. Originally the recording was conceived as a special project intended for release only in Japan and Southeast Asia, however, soon after it was released everyone wanted a copy. I have been a follower of Tuck and Patti's musical career for years. Due to budget contraints and the exorbitant prices of CDs, I am very selective when it comes to adding CDs to my collection. However, this CD is one of their best. I would also include, what I believe was their first CD, "Dream." That particular CD is another absolute gem that I insist you must add to your collection!
