Customer Reviews
Average Rating:
Rating: - Great Product
I bought this product based on the existing reviews. They are right on. It is easy to use and works great.
Rating: - An Excellent Buy
The device was easy to install and performed exactly as described. The ability to select video formats and quality make it very versatile for projects ranging from short "posting" videos (for websites, etc.) to full blown DVDs. The editing software is good, but requires a little trial-and error to produce desired results. For the price, I can't see how it can be beat...a superb value!
Rating: - It works, transfer away
I bought this to transfer a bunch of Hi-8 personal videos to DVD. It worked as advertised. You load the driver, connect the cables and away you go. It takes forever to transfer the video in real time, but capturing the memories from many years ago is priceless. The software that comes bundled with this is OK.
Rating: - very good for the price
I am not a professional video editor, but to transfer old vhs and vh8 video tapes to dvd it worked perfectly. The software is kind of conversome, but manageable. The installation was automatically. I'm using xp home and didnt need any drivers. Great gadget for the price.
Rating: - Easiest, best, simply great!!
I was able to record video from old VHS and Video8 tapes in less than 30 minutes after unpacking. Great quality, true 30 fps, 640x480 resolution... couldn't be better!!
Tip: Install the drivers but not the video capture software that comes with it -it's no good. If you have Nero or other commercial software, you may use that. Otherwise, I found a very good free app called Debut Video Recorder. I'm sure there are others out there, but I thought of sharing my experience to save you some ... Read More
