Further, you can load a disc brimming with digital photos for custom slide shows in the comfort of your home theater.
An onscreen display simplifies setup and operation, and the unit comes with a compact, full-function remote control. Other features include parental controls (with PIN lock), frame-by-frame slow motion, picture zoom (2x, 4x), and multiple-angle viewing (with applicable discs).
Like to travel? The DVD-224 won't hog space in your bag, and an auto-switching universal power supply handles inputs from AC 110 to 220 volts (50/60 Hz) for use in most countries. A composite-video output ensures compatibility with nearly any television and many newer computer monitors. I got this to replace another inexpensive coby DVD player for a workshop. This one is fair. Very slow response time. From one to two seconds to act when buttons are pushed. It came with an unsightly sticker from the manufacturer applied on the top regarding troubleshooting. Very flimsy construction on both the unit and remote. Probably won't last long.

I got this DVD player for working out. No hard use, no intense visuals, no huge demands of it. To that end it performs wonderfully. I've had no problems with it being finicky or selective in what DVDs it would play. As it is a very simple player it is lite in controls and tweaks, but for the price you can't beat it. It is what it is and I'm very pleased.

I bought this dvd player back in March. A few weeks ago it stopped turning on completely. It's turned on once since then but has not turned on again. It's a waste of money. It would be better to spend even a bit more money on a dvd player that is going to last. Unfortunately, it stopped working after the return period so I'm stuck with it and can only buy a new one. I am not pleased with this product at all. Don't waste your money!

This is a great product. It's small and easy to move from T.V. to T.V. as well as being able to sit on top of our cable box without being some bulky DVD. This is our third Colby we own and we haven't had a problem with any of them. If we were to ever buy another, Colby is the the way we would go!

This is my 2nd coby dvd player, the reason I got this new one is because the remote died on me from the old player, and without the remote, you cannot control anything from the player itself. This 224 remote has the worse design, it has many buttons that are not useful on it and is not the same as it showed on the picture. The main button like play, fast forward, rewind and pause are on the very bottom of the remote, which are way inconvenience.
