- Hard Drive: The 40 GB IDE hard drive is on the small side compared to other notebooks. However, it does offer a decent enough capacity for storing documents and productivity software for road warriors--but not enough for much multimedia storage.

I had this laptop for 2 months when it finally decided that it no longer wanted to turn on. I ended up losing everything on the hard drive without any warning that there was something wrong.

this computer is great!! Upgraded to 512, for 40 bucks! this does everything I need it to do in a laptop. Only negative is that the keyboard spacings isn't comfortable, but I use a mouse anyway so it is great!!

I do like Averatec, I also love AMD processor, as far as My concern AMD is the best one and for a real decent price. I got this computer and a week after the leds cover just jumped out its position, I glued back several times, until I got tired, and finally the cover get lost. I've had this laptop for about a week now, and i am very happy with it. I was looking for a budget priced computer for word processing and web surfing. I have been more than satisfied with both.
I have some visual problems, so I needed a large screen. the 15" here is generous, with enough brightness even for my poor peepers. The keys are also larger than most laptops I've seen. The white on grey is high contrast, and easy to see.

I purchased this laptop having never owned nor used one before. I am totally pleased both with Amazon's purchasing process as well as my new laptop. I never knew computing could be so much fun :).
