I stumbled onto this song while using the "scan" feature on my car radio. I stopped the scan for the same reason drivers slow down to observe a wreck... morbid curiosity.
What a wreck.
"Black Horse" is derivative. I mean, how much more 12-bar blues can the contemporary ear stand?
It's stereotyped. Oh, loss of innocence... how interesting. Not.

KT Tunstall is a talented Scottish/Chinese singer-songwriter. She's in the paradoxical position of having had NPR AND Ryan Seacrest fawning over her as the Next Big Thing. As a person,she's amiable and talented. One can say she's pro-life when she talks about being adopted,and thanking her mother for letting her live&finding a family for her. Her songs "Suddenly I See" and "Far Side of the World" show the breadth of her talents.

This CD only has two songs on it. I thought that it was a full CD and was interested in hearing more of KT Tunstall's music. Black Horse & the Cherry Tree is an excellent song.

I really haven't seen a whjole lot of great performers that truly rocked last year. While Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge have made some decent tracks, there really was not much with the female singer/songwriter bit. For K.T. Tunstall, she really is one of those surprising faces out right now, and her latest opening single is just delightful.
