Editorial Review:
Enjoy topnotch performance and impressive versatility with Compaq's remanufactured Evo D510c convertible minitower PC. Housed in a sleek black case with silver-toned accents, the PC fits beautifully in almost any office setting, where its flexible chassis can adjust to small desks with room for a tower underneath or large desks that can handle a traditional desktop CPU. That's because the minitower sits comfortably both vertically and horizontally, depending on the configuration of the workspace. It also offers an added bonus by letting users orient the removable CD-ROM drive in either direction, so it's always horizontal regardless of how the computer is standing.
Internally, the computer is powered by a 2 GHz Pentium 4 CPU and 256 MB of RAM (expandable to 2 GB)--fast enough for most home office, business, or academic applications, though not great for such memory hogs as multimedia graphics programs and video games. The computer is also equipped with an integrated AGP 4X video bus that's easily expandable via the three open PCI slots, along with 16-bit digital audio support. The built-in video should be fine for most 2-D applications but might struggle with more advanced 3-D graphics and animations. Additional expandability stems from the four USB ports (two on the front).
The computer also includes such essentials as a business-savvy keyboard with seven hot keys (ideal for launching Websites or services); a 40 GB hard drive; a 48x CD-ROM drive; a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive; and a built-in 56k modem. All this in a chassis that measures a respectable 17.6 by 6.6 by 16.8 inches (W x H x D) in its vertical orientation.
The Evo D510 comes with a preinstalled Windows 2000 Professional operating system and a variety of bundled applications. It also carries a 90-day warranty against defects.

Rating: out of 5 stars - You are kidding, right?
What a ripoff? I just went to another site and priced a new Compaq with the following specs:
SR2010NX AMD Sempron(tm) processor 3400+; DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive; 120GB hard drive; 512MB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM
Guess what? It's only $65 more then this refurb. Be careful what you pay for.
